Corinne Day’s shots of the young Kate Moss for the cover of The Face magazine marked the beginning of an exemplary career. Kate is still one of today’s most recognised faces. However, most people are unaware of Corinne Day’s battle against a brain tumour, one which she has been fighting for over ten years. Friends of the fashion photographer are now desperately trying to raise money for her cause, by selling limited edition Kate Moss prints.Over the past ten years, all treatment methods have been unsuccessful. Last year Corinne was no longer able to work, and her financial situation is rather dire due to the cost of treatment. Her last resort is treatment at a specialist clinic in Arizona, otherwise she has little chance of surviving the cancer. And of course, the treatment is very pricy, a total of £100,000 has to be raised over the next few weeks. The charity’s first motif was sold out in just a few days, but now a black and white print of Kate Moss (realised for DUTCH magazine in 2001) is available for £100 each (5 x &, edition: 500).The only condition: the print is exclusively available for personal use and may not be sold on. The photo is not allowed to be sold through internet auctions or commercial galleries in the next three years, until 31 July 2012.If you are interested in a print, send an email to emily@premiermodelmanagement.com. You are welcome to donate more than the official price tag. Additional limited edition prints will be available in September, October, December and at Christmas.source : http://www.gosee.us/
