We love the Christmas feast pictures featuring Hailey Clauson toying with the food staples of the festive season! These are a collaboration between “image-makers extraordinaires” Tim Gutt and Shona Heath. These illustrate “Grace & Flavour” a story by model-turned-writer Sophie Dahl.

Despite the fashion world’s stick thin model domination, V Magazine has decided to devote an entire issue to curvier women, reports the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

“The Size Issue” includes a high-fashion photo shoot with women who are proud to flaunt their thicker thighs, fuller tummies, large breasts and even their love handles.

The voluptuous models are clad in very little throughout the spread, wearing items like a pair of Guess jeans without a top, Dolce & Gabbana lingerie, a Gucci swimsuit, or in one shot: nothing but some fire engine red lipstick.

Solve Sundsbo, the Norwegian fashion photographer who shot the spread, told the Daily Mail that he “loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us.”

And while plenty of models will most likely turn up their noses at the issue, 2010 might be the year for the plus-sized model.

In recent months, model Lara Stone has become famous in her own right, despite her size eight figure and trademark gap-toothed smile, while Beth Ditto, lead singer of the Gossip, has found runway success with her plus-sized collection for Evans in the U.K.

V Magazine’s “Size Issue” hits newsstands on January 14.

She also manages to steal the show from Bambi and his Disney companions in the latest Stella McCartney campaign, a fairytale world shot by Ryan McGinley.

Liz Hurley has admitted that she fears swimsuit shoots, at the same time that photos from her new diffusion bikini range for Mango have been released. The model/actress revealed to The Sunday Times Style magazine that she is looking forward to the day that she doesn’t have to do pose in a bikini again.

“Shooting bikinis is now my life, which, as you can imagine, is unmitigated hell,” she said.

Jourdan Dunn – the black “it” girls of the moment

Style.com has named London native Jourdan Dunn among its list of Top Models for the Fall 2008 ready-to-wear season. She made news earlier by becoming the first black model in TEN YEARS to walk for Italian fashion giant Prada.

Ms. Dunn and Chanel Iman seemed to be the black “it” girls of the moment. Hopefully they will also get the much needed support of fashion magazine editors and photographers to boost their respective careers to the next level. I’d hate to see either woman’s career taper off the way former “it” girl Gerren Taylor’s did.

The 17 year old beauty was also seen on runways for Louis Vuitton, Zac Posen, and Dries Van Noten among others.
