France-based Thierry Mugler Parfums has signed a licensing agreement with crystal specialist Swarovski to create a beauty line – a move that aims to bring about premium positioning through the incorporation of quality packaging.
Known as Swarovski Beauty, the line will include fragrances, make-up and a beauty accessories collection that will incorporate the fragrance, cosmetic and packaging design capabilities of Clarins-owned Thierry Mugler with the precision-cut crystal expertise that Austrian-based Swarovski is renowned for.
With a launch date planned for 2010, the two companies will work together to develop the high-end beauty products that will incorporate Swarovski’s crystal expertise into the packaging design.
