Cecilia Hammarborg’s new collection “Black River Falls” will launch at London Fashion Week as part of Topshop’s new EDIT designer range for Autumn/Winter 09-10.
You can beat the crowds by purchasing Hammarborg’s collection from Swanfield on Tour, her cooperative pop-up boutique.
“Made in London, the ultimate fusion of classic tailoring and carefully constructed shapes, combined with modern design detailing using quality Italian fabrics; glamour and luxury are mixed to perfection with functionality.
A visual paradox is illustrated where shapes are voluminous and floaty, while sculpted detailing from Victorian menswear accentuates a flattering form in pointed fish tail cuts. Military button details are also offset with feminine puffed sleeves and sharply waisted cuts with full skirts.
Black River Falls by Cecilia Hammarborg proves outerwear can be just as titillating as what lies beneath.”
Cecilia Hammarborg’s covetable range of accessories, including silk scarves with logo gunbird print, can also be found at the new YMC store on Poland Street, and Beyond The Valley off Carnaby St. For those not in that part of London town, other stockists include No-One Boutique in Shoreditch. Collection also available from www.ceciliahammarborg.com

The three new limited edition ‘Beauty by Coco’ brumisateurs are illustrated by the French illustrator Coco. Spraying with the Evian brumisateur gives an extra boost in the hydration of the outer skin of 16% thanks to the millions of microdroplets of the mineral water. The limited edition brumisateurs are available from May 2009.Coco has a very recognizable style and works for many international brands and magazines such as Vogue, Japanese and US Nylon, as well as collaborating with various fashion weeks worldwide. Her illustrations are light and soft, full of feminine elegance. The organic style matches perfectly the key values of Evian: natural beauty, purity and radiant youth with a touch of glamour. Celebrities and beautiful people flogged to the Roberto Cavalli boutique opening party during Paris Fashion Week ready-to-wear Autumn/Winter 2009 on March March 7. Another Saturday night in Paris where bling and chic were mingling.

The guest list included Roxane Mesquida, Diane Kruger, Kanye West (and his new fiancee Amber Rose), Milla Jovovich, Peaches Geldof and Miss France 2009, among others.

Roberto Cavalli was there of course, welcoming guests and being his flamboyant self. (We love you Roberto!)

Leaving celebrities aside, the party was a pretex for us to browse the shop, from the lobby to the top. 4 floors of the new Italian Glamour. One might think Footballer Wives, we say 70′s Las Vegas revival. Joyful and against the nature of the current (gloomy) times.

The store itself is a crystal, animal prints and gold fantasy that translates Italian glamour. Red carpet dresses and dog couture, bling cutlery and babydoll dresses (our favourite, as well as Milla Jovovich’s).

Italian label Costume National is opening its new flagship store on Mercer street, at the very heart of SoHo, the vibrant and trendy New York neighborhood.
The vast shop, conceived by the brand’s founder Ennio Capasa, will be materialised by architects Fausto Poli and Guelfo Carpegna.
“This new space of about 350 square metres is the evolution of my previous store in Wooster Street,” comments Ennio Capasa, “where total black was dominating. In the new space there is an almost fluid atmosphere with many reflecting surfaces. I conceived it by imagining an architecture of the future with roots in classic Italian design.”
A very futuristic space indeed. A”cyber-chic” atmosphere that will be emphasized by shiny chrome and white fittings and industrial features.

The inauguration is scheduled for the 12th of September during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. We hear that a very special guest will give a surprise performance. Watch that space.
Really cute new collection of Yazbukey for Fall-Winter 2008-2009.
Private presentation during the next Paris Fashion Week.
