The specialty of Forget Me Not is its unique concept – a synergy of fashion and art through the hand made drawings that are later implemented as a print on the silk, cashmere and cotton fabric. The creative mind of Forget Me Not – Coco – is a fashion illustrator and graphic artist who joins the idea of art made digital prints on the fabrics. The complex process of the creation involves both craftsmanship and advanced printing technology. That is because all the graphic works and print designs featuring on the scarves are initially hand-drawn compositions by Coco. The use of hand drawing technique is a crucial point in design. Afterward, all the compositions are digitally printed on the fine quality fabrics of cotton, silk and cashmere in Como, Italy. This is very advanced process of digital printing resulting in great quality of the products and uniqueness. The scarves are produced in small quantities per design that gives around 100 pieces per style.

Feathered messengers of ancient wisdom invite us to a flight into the unknown, a world of psychedelia, dream- like geometries and strange organic landscapes where feathers grow like clusters of plants and ancient jewellry unfurls into cosmic ‘’dream-catcher’’ devices.
Forget Me Not is a concept that revolves around Coco’s own peculiar visual universe and most notably the encounter between several of her particular fields of interest. These include the collage works of the modernist avant-garde, Surrealism, montage as a way of enchanting reality, geometric patterns – especially in esoteric imagery, animals seen as totems, the talismanic power of the object and literary references ranging from childrens’ tales to fin-de-siecle novels.
The collection is available around the world from selected fashion and luxury stores including Barney’s, Harrods, tomorrowland, estnation, Harvey Nichols and more.

VIBRANT POP’SET PAPER ‘C-MYK’
RAISE FUNDS FOR UNESCO
DESIGN & CRAFT INITIATIVE
(London – 6 July 2011) Over 40 C-Myk [– n see-mike], the little paper creatures at the centre of the PopʼSet ʻColours’ Attackʼ contest from Arjowiggins Creative Papers, have been sold to raise money for UNESCOʼs ʻAward of Excellence for Handicraftsʼ programme during the Coloursʼ Attack exhibition, which ran from 1-4 July at The Dray Walk Gallery in Londonʼs East End.
The C-Myk selected to participate in the exhibition were those voted best in the international contest by peers online and by a jury of eminent designers. Designers from 26 countries as far afield as Chile, Korea, Taiwan, Australia and the Philippines sent in their C-Myk to be exhibited and sold. A gallery of all the competing C-Myk can still be seen online at www.popsetpaper.com/coloursattackcontest/gallery
The top price for one of the origami-like characters was £1,000, for a paper creation by cult Japanese graphic artist Shin Tanaka, who had invented the C-Myk master toy which participants customised. Postcards of the origami-inspired characters raised further funds. 100 percent of the proceeds goes to UNESCO.
The UNESCO ʻAward of Excellence for Handicraftsʼ programme aims to facilitate access to regional and international markets for creators in developing countries. The programme encourages creations rooted in tradition yet adapted to the contemporary world. The Coloursʼ Attack exhibition was opened by Arjowiggins Business Director Jonathan Mitchell and Ian White, Senior Communications and Research Officer at the UK National Commission for UNESCO.

MYTHOLOGY
Straight from the myths and legends of ancient Greece comes ‘’Mythology’’ – the stunning new AW2010 accessories collection from Forget-Me-Not. Inspired by characters whose tales of heroism, romance and
mystery have captured mankind’s imagination across the centuries, designer Coco’s digitally printed, 100% silk scarves and turbans depict scenes straight from the well-loved fantasies of times gone by. Here we see the winged horse Pegasus take flight, whilst the sea goddess Calypso, the god of sleep, Morpheus and the snow nymph, Chione, weave their magic spells on the mortals they treat as mere play things.
As always, the Forget–Me-Not muses appear in the form of delicate female characters depicted in dream-like scenarios. Fine featured and full of mischief, these sylphs are surrounded by winged creatures and fantastical beings including horned beetles, ornate shells and regal birds of prey. Twisted ropes of pearls are entwined through elegant turbans whilst Coco’s unique geometrical abstractions beckon you on a strange journey through her imagination. In a palette of ocean blues, dusty pinks, rich greys and midnight black, each scarf design comes in three colour ways, on which brighter hues are set off against a backdrop of neutral tones to give each composition a beguiling sense of depth. Moreover, with every design meticulously rendered by hand, this latest collection in the highly successful Forget-Me-Not series serves as a covetable extension of designer Coco’s work as a sought after fashion illustrator.
