Charlotte Gainsbourg knows how to surround herself with the best for her musical adventures; after Air, it’s the musical super genius Beck who has composed, produced and co-authored the songs on this brand new album. IRM is a beautiful album of pop where you’ll catch a hint of the Beatles. colette offers the basic version of the CD and, for the true fans, this super limited collector’s set containing 1 CD, 1 DVD, the album in a range including 3 25cm vinyls, a 25cm vinyl containing 4 unreleased remixes and 4 large photographs of Charlotte Gainsbourg by Nick Knight.

But it’s still a Charlotte Gainsbourg LP– a fact that becomes clear after listening to the title track, now available as a free download on her website.
“I had to do so many [MRIs] and every time I was in that tube I was thinking it would make great music,” she says, referencing the song’s stuttering, machine-like rhythm. The lyrics chronicle her trips to the brain-buster with acute detail: “Following the x-ray eye from the cortex to medulla,” she sings in a Beck-y, spoken-word cadence. Fact: MRIs have never been as cool as they are right now.

Last night was the official launch party for Sonia Rykiel for H&M in Paris at The Grand Palais. Between vintage lingeries, mini Eiffel Tower, ballons, magic forest, bucket of champagne…Sonia Rykiel was the most extravagant party to be at in Paris! A total Parisian magical and fairy tail world for a total of 2,000 guests, including celebrities such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Kate Bosworth, Emanuelle Béart and Eva Herzigova. “I think it is very Sonia Rykiel to have her presentation with H&M here. She is so Paris, and I don’t think she could have had it anywhere else.” stated Eva Herzigova last night.
The lingerie will be available in store December 5th in 1,500 H&M stores worldwide; retail prices between 9 euro to 59 euros.

WWD reports that Zac Posen is launching a new lower-priced fashion line called Z Spoke, to launch exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue next Spring. Z Spoke is gonna give Marc by Marc Jacobs a run for his money. I’m loving the wide belted looks showcased in the two dresses above.
From WWD:
“It’s not Zac-for-less, it’s not the little sister collection at all,” says Posen. “The dresses — that’s something I can do with my eyes closed. This is about a new identity.” His inspiration board is full of downtown imagery such as beaten-up Nike Dunks and a shot of Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle. A palette of neutrals with ample pops of kelly green, pink and red gives the clothes a retro vibe, or an “urban hipster quality” as Posen puts it, adding he could see these styles on a Lower East Side girl.
