Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø is currently showing some of his works at colette in Paris. He is making his solo debut in the French capital of Maggazine like Numéro and at one of the world’s most famous shopping destinations, colette. Sundsbo’s work for this solo exhibition features vivid photographs of feathers that pop against the backgrounds of the images, as well as short films that are showing throughout colette. He says they’re the blend of a lifelong love of nature documentaries and his later work in fashion: “Birds have a sartorial quality which, in a sense, is a pure form of fashion.”

Korea is the “new Japan”, with edgy multi-brand stores and magazines. Vogue Korea ‘Black Beauties’ follow the Italian Vogue with a cover featuring Chanel Iman in Burberry, for her very first solo Vogue cover. She is, by the way, half-Korean. The Numero cover features Freja Beha Eriksen, also wearing Burberry.
Prada has chosen a very interesting face to represent the Linea Rossa Fall-Winter 2008 /2009 line. Ymre Stiekema is the 16 year old Dutch model who fronts the campaign photographed by Steven Meisel. She is as well the runner-up of ’Elite Model Look 2008′.

Comme des Garçons’ founder and head designer Rei Kawakubo has designed an exclusive line for H&M, to be on sale this coming Autumn. This a new installement of the Swedish clothing chain collaborations with top designers that included Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld or Roberto Cavalli in the past seasons.
Rei Kawakubo, famous and admired for her creativity and artistry, will design women’s and men’s lines, with some pieces for children too. Accessories and an exclusive unisex fragrance will also be included in the collection. Available from H&M stores on the 13th of November 2008.

A new exhibition at the London Victoria & Albert Museum this summer, Fashion V Sport, will explore the relationship between contemporary fashion and global sportswear brands. Both industries have been inspired by street style and have been working in closer collaboration in recent years.
Around 60 outfits will be on display including performance sportswear, work by fashion designers such as Stella McCartney, Bernard Willhelm, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Dries van Noten, Sonia Rykiel, Nike clothing by Dr Romanelli, as well as Jeremy Scott’s collection for Adidas, inspired by artist Keith Haring.

The 2nd edition of the Vintage Fair will take place in Paris on September 27 and 28 at the Espace Pierre Cardin.

The muse of the 70’s, Lauren Hutton was selected by Mango to represent its A/W 08 collection. The actress model, 27 times cover girl of Vogue posed for the catalan photographer Antoni Bernad. This new campaign, called “We love you, Lauren,” aims to prove that fashion is not restricted to young models but to all women.
