A few months away from the launch of her first collection of jewellery and a few days after the opening of her first boutique in Roma, Via Del Governo Vecchio, Delfina Delettrez is showing her new designs in Paris at the Hotel Crillon, during the fashion week.

This time Delfina is inspired by the “surreal” videos of Youtube dedicated to reptilians, the new ufology movement. Reptilians are “human beings existing in space-time with superior powers”, says the web. Here however is a series of jewelery where, “living” in the place of precious stones, are the eyes of humans, animals and aliens. The eyes and their disturbing and upsetting “looks” – above all when in a pair such as those seen in her rigid bangles – are made by expert Murano glaziers – Delfina is making a point of involving local craftsmen in the production of her creations, all made in the new workshop on Via dell’Orso in Roma.
The new earrings, inspired by the Czar’s jewelery – “stolen” from her recent escapade in Moscow – have become something like the earrings in Star Trek…

Delfina’s new designs can be defined as “a journey into the past that today venture as far back as the dawn of planet Earth” : “the reptilian genetics are a collection of information that dates back to the first son of Eve…”. This is how Delfina moved to Eden and created a series of jewelery straight from the garden of original sin, featuring insects, snakes, flowers and succulent fruits, on multi-coloured enamel decorations or long necklaces looking like long swinging vines, formed by thick rings of gold and silve. The result is a bit “Dalida”, a bit “flower power”, just like that vintage flowered mousseline dress in silk by Yves Saint Laurent that she stole from her mother, Silvia. A dress that Delfina has secretly worn for years, since she was little, feeling a real princess.

Following on from Jerry, Elizabeth and Jade, yet another Jagger is set to hit the modelling big-time, with sweet 16-year-old Georgia May Jagger having just signed to a leading London modelling agency. Jerry Hall has four children: Elizabeth, James, Georgia May, and Gabriel with Mike Jagger.
The “Collection Blanche” is the first wedding gowns collection by Parisian house Lanvin. Sometimes inspired by previous creations or just new designs, this extremely “couture” and modern collection is another showcase of Albert Elbaz’ talent.

That’s it… We just heard that 90′s supermodel Carla Bruni and French president Nicolas Sarkozy tied the knot this morning. The French and Italian fashion houses will be very happy, we’re sure!
