Jonathan Saunders goes West

As well as showing his next collection in New York next month, we hear that Jonathan Saunders might be commissioned to create a line for Target, the major US high-street retailer.
“According to industry sources, the Scottish designer is in talks with the Minneapolis-based discount retailer to produce a limited edition collection for Target’s Go International range, which spotlights new names in the fashion industry”.

If the project goes ahead, Saunders would be following in the footsteps of Proenza Schouler, Erin Fetherston or Luella Bartley amongst others, who also designed collections for the store. So far both parties declined to comment. *source: WWD
